At BrainChild Bio, our work is personal.

We have spent our careers working in service of the youngest cancer patients who are typically left with antiquated treatment options that do not deliver cures without harming their bodies, their minds and their spirits. And we have always tried to find a better way to new cures.

This commitment doesn’t end in the lab—it extends to how we can support and encourage young cancer survivors to reclaim the moments lost and seize the moments yet to come. That is why BrainChild Bio has decided to support the Send It Foundation.

“There’s a point where medicine is part of the cure that focuses on the disease, but there is the part that goes beyond that, which is the part about reclaiming life, joy, optimism about the future. Medicine isn’t very good at doing that — we don’t have the skillset, but Send It does.“

About Send It

The Send It Foundation provides transformative and healing outdoor adventures for young adults facing cancer, removing them from their cancer experience and creating the space to play, connect, and have fun in the outdoors. Headquartered in Lake Tahoe, Send It Programs are multi-day adventures designed around activities such as mountain biking, skiing, surfing, climbing and backpacking; creating a vital community through shared experience.

Founded by Jamie Schou, whose mantra “Send It” embodied living life to the fullest, the foundation has impacted over 800 participants since 2014. Together, we’re redefining survivorship and empowering lives through community and adventure.
